The core of all SHARK S.R.L. activities is the Safety and Quality Management System. Ongoing reviews, internal auditing, inspection, communication, and training of personnel combine to ensure that safety and quality standards are continuously monitored and improved, to effectively manage the continuously evolving challenges provided by the global offshore oil and gas working environment.
SHARK SRL was certified in 2001 according to ISO 9002:1994 quality standard and on April 21, 2004 according to ISO 9001:2000 quality standard. ISO 9001 quality standard has been issued after Germanischer Lloyd Certification GmbH based in Hamburg, Germany has audited the company and certified that SHARK SRL has established and maintains a Quality Management System relevant for in-water inspections and survey of ship’s hull, hydro technical constructions, underwater steel structures, removal of sunken ships and objects, interventions and service on off-shore pipe lines, human lives, ships and goods, marine and river salvage, underwater works in environment with radiological contamination risk, Quality Management System that meets the requirements of ISO 9001 quality standard.
Integrating the environmental protection component in its management system, SHARK SRL became in July 2009 certified according to the ISO 14001:2004 standard, by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance.
Our company is engaged in a continuous effort to meet the requirements of our clients, safeguarding in the same time the environment, the health and safety of our employees, our partners and of the entire community. In the process of implementing an integrated management system in the fields of quality, environment, health and safety SHARK SRL obtained Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance certification according to OHSAS 18001:1999 standard.
From 2001 onward, SHARK SRL professionalism made us become Approved External Specialist for prestigious classification societies: American Bureau of Shipping, Germanischer Lloyd and Lloyd’s Register and we are currently also certified and authorized for:
- Ultrasonic testing of welded seams, by Germanischer Lloyd
- Thickness Mesurements, by Germanischer Lloyd
- Non-destructive testing, based on Romanian Naval Authority norm code MT.RNR – NT 11/2 – 99, authorization no. 3/4365DD – 43/1
- Underwater torch cutting and welding – certificate issued by ISIM Timisoara (National R&D Institute for Welding and Material Testing)
- Underwater operations carried out in the Romanian sector of the Danube and the Black Sea – authorization issued by RNA (Romanian Naval Authority)
- Diver interventions in areas with risks of radiological contamination – authorization issued by CNCAN (National Committee for Nuclear Activities Control)
- Salvage and Rescue operations (SAR) – authorization issued by RNA (Romanian Naval Authority)
